Community

To maintain a sustainable business growth the Company’s businesses are balanced with various CSR activities, regular or one-off. The Company has adopted a policy of not supporting politically motivated activity in its CSR activity. The funds allocated for CSR are channeled through partnerships and community development program (PKBL), with reference to the Regulation of the Minister of SOEs No. PER-05/MBU/2007 pertaining to SOE Partnership with Small Business Program, and Community Development Program as stipulated in Article 4 of Law No.40 of 2007 regarding Limited Liability Company. For 2011, the placement of funds are 2% of the profit or Rp. 5.698.443.824 for the Partnership, and 1% of the profit or Rp2.849.221.912 for Community Development with the cumulative amount of funds managed by the end of 2011 reached Rp. 32,340,458,929.

In 2011, WIKA has implemented Partnership and Community Development in various sectors, namely: education sector, religious sector, environment conservation sector, public infrastructure and facilities sector, and health sector.

Partnership program

WIKA Partnership Program is conducted in the form of financing to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) including Cooperatives that meet the specified requirements. Partnership Program is expected to enhance the capabilities and productivity of Small Businesses to be able to become self-reliant and resilient business. In addition to financial support, coaching is also done in the form of grants in the form of assistance such as skills training for the certification of concrete artisans as well as marketing the product through small exhibitions, both related and unrelated to the business WIKA. WIKA Partnership Program funds have been channeled to the services and trade sectors in the area of ​​DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java Province. In 2011, WIKA has the Partnership Program funds in the form of loans for business capital is distributed to 162 trained partners in the amount of Rp. 30.343.306.566. The cumulative number of trained partners Partnership Program grantees are 1.071 trained partners.

Community Development Program

Funds channeled to Community Development during the year 2011 reached Rp. 2.502.472.500. The funds are used for various activities carried out his own, including:

Education Sector

Some of the activities undertaken in the education sector include school renovation program, scholarship program and the provision of educational facilities such as provision of equipment and means of supporting education. Additionally, WIKA also empower the community in social and economic fields to form a cluster in regions Gadog Patronage Village, West Java.

Religious Sector

WIKA provides assistance in service sectors such as the renovation of places of worship, boarding assistance and the provision of the Qur’an, and other supporting facilities and other assistance ahead of the great days of the religion.

Environment Conservation Sector

WIKA participate in environment conservation sector by implementing some conservation activities such as tree planting. Target for 2012 is planting 100,000 trees. Tree planting is done in the WIKA businesses throughout Indonesia and is a mandatory program for all departments, work units and subsidiaries WIKA.

Public Infrastructure and Facilities Sector

WIKA provides assistance for posyandu and garbage cart as infrastructure and public facilities.

Health Sector

For the health sector, WIKA built clean water and public sanitation for the community, using technology that is environmentally friendly namely solar powered water pumps. In addition WIKA also make efforts to promote nutrition through food aid, medicines and other implementation activities related to public health services.
