Jokowi and WIKA Conducts Groundbreaking of Keureto Dam Project, Aceh
Today, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo conducted Groundbreaking of Keureto Dam Project Aceh together with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PU-Pera) Basuki Hadimuljono and management of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) in the Blang Pante Village, Paya Bakong Sub-District, North Aceh District, Aceh, on Monday (9/3).
Implementation of this groundbreaking is a follow-up results of the agreement signing of the Keureto Aceh dam project with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PU-Pera) in Water Resources Building and Spatial Planning, Jakarta, Friday (6/3). The project with a total value of IDR1.7 trillion, which is sourced from the state budget, WIKA obtains Package II in the form of dodger tunnel construction work and Waterway work with a value of IDR403 billion.
The type of dam is random landfill with widespread inundation of 896.39 acres, 386 meters long and 74.00 meters high. The dam is designed to provide a special flood pitcher of 30.50 million m3 were able to reduce flood discharge until the return period of 50 years, irrigating an area of 13.834 hectares, hydropower amounted to 6,340 MW, raw water supply of 0.50 m3 / sec, natural resource conservation, and tourism.
