Simpang Susun Waru-Bandara Toll Road has been Operated Officially
Toll Road section of Simpang Susun Waru-Juanda Airport, East Java is along 12, 8 km and its value IDR 1,288 trillion has been operated officially after President of republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) inagurated the section in Juanda Airport-Sidoardjo, Sunday (27/4).
The construction of the project which is consist of four sections involved several contractors, one of them PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) as contractor of section IV.
The project has started by WIKA since December 12, 2006 with type of works are elevated pile slab (3480 m), a bridge (95 m), dan at grade of air port (875 m).
According to the plan, Waru-Juanda Toll Road has four construction sections, i.e; Section I is Dukuh Menanggal-Flyover Waru (1,7 km in length); section II is Waru-Brebek (2,95 km in length) ; section III is Brebek-Pondok Candra (3,7 km in length); and section IV is Pondok Candra – new terminal of Juanda airport (3,65 km in length).
Simpang Susun Waru-Juanda Toll Road is part of Jalan Tol Simpang Susun Waru – Tanjung Perak atau Surabaya Eastern Ring Road (SERR). This project use land in Surabaya Province (11,4 hectare in widht) and in Sidoarjo Regency (54,7 hectare in widht). After being operated, this Toll Road has 53.462 vehicles capacity per day.
