PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) again received the award in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (K3). At this time, Palm Oil Refinery Complex project 2500 MT / Day in South Kalimantan was awarded 1,000,000 (one million) man hours saved during the execution of the project. This award was given by Azizi A. Rahman, Engineering Head of Sime Darby Company (owner) at WIKA Building Jakarta (23/5).
The project which started on June 2011 was carried out without experiencing much less severe accidents resulting in death. “This makes, WIKA as a contractor tested the K3 quality, as well as focus on the job, we also prioritize safety by obeying the rules in the project “, said WIKA’s President Director Bintang Perbowo in his speech.
Azizi explained that WIKA deserved the award, because the performance of WIKA in a project that has reached 68.4% of this progress is excellent. This award is the procedure of any project work that successfully hit the target, and the achievement of it must be appreciated from the owner.
