President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Kuningan Dam during his working visit to Kuningan Regency, West Java Province, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. After being inaugurated, the dam, which has been built for seven years at a cost of Rp513 billion, is ready to be used.
In this inauguration, President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, and Regent of Kuningan Acep Purnama.
The Kuningan Dam, which has a capacity of 25.9 million cubic meters, will function to supply water in a sustainable manner for 3 thousand hectares of community rice fields around the dam, starting from Kuningan Regency, Cirebon Regency, to Brebes Regency.
