Support the Development of Super Priority Tourism Destinations, WIKA – AirNav Indonesia Initiates


PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) through the Social and Environmental Responsibility Unit (TJSL) together with AirNav Indonesia carried out a collaborative coral reef transplant program in the waters of Wae Cicu Beach, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara on Thursday (9/12).

This activity was chosen by WIKA considering the potential of Labuan Bajo as a marine tourism development area that must be maintained, as the President of the Republic of Indonesia has designated it as one of the Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP).

Held on the 350 square meter coastal coast of Labuan Bajo, the coral reef transplant was carried out by GM Corporate Relations of WIKA, Achmad Harris A. Soekamto, CSR Manager of Airnav Indonesia, Hermawansyah, representatives of West Manggarai District, Tarsisius Nita with the National Tunas Bakti Association, a local community that works in the field of maritime social and tourism education.

Welcoming the program carried out by WIKA positively, the representative of the Regional Government of West Manggarai Regency, Tarsisius Nita expressed his greatest appreciation for the intentions and plans in developing the Labuan Bajo waters, especially in the protection of sustainable coral reefs.
