PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) through Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) supports efforts to increase the expertise of partners in the construction service sector through professional training and certification carried out in collaboration with the WIKA Professional Certification Institute (LPS), as a form of implementing the CSV concept in the company's CSR activities.
In the activity which lasted for two days on 14-15 October 2021, WIKA provided training and briefing on scaffolding operations on the first day, and continued with Professional Certification by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) on the second day.
Achmad Harris A. Soekamto as GM Corporate Relations of WIKA said that WIKA's TJSL in this case supports the provision of fostered partners, such as workers and foremen, to have an even understanding of the importance of quality goals and HSE at WIKA.
“It is hoped that through this Professional Certification, participants can have good competence in implementing important work fields in the project to produce quality and safety according to WIKA standards, so as to be able to provide new innovations. In addition, through this TJSL program the potential of participants can be explored and certified," said Harris.
In line with that, the Head of WIKA LSP, M Rifki Rosady revealed that this Professional Certification is also a mandate from Law no. 2 of 2017 concerning Construction Services Article 70 paragraph 1, that every Manpower who works in the field of Construction Services is required to have a Certificate of Work Competence.
“Therefore, LSP WIKA has a target to implement 7 (seven) Professional Certification Schemes in a year with a total of 238 sessions. In this certification, together with TJSL WIKA certification was attended by 15 participants of Foster Partners from various projects, including the Jakarta International Stadium Project, the WIKA Construction Industry project, the HSR Project, and several participants from other projects," he said.
