PT. Mass Rapid Tvansit[HR1] Jakarta will accelerated the underground tunnel station drilling implementation on August 2015.
The mass transportation availability rail basis is needed due to Jakarta will be projected to be one of the 2018 Asian Games host.
President Director of MRT Jakarta, Dono Boestami, said that they are ready to implement underground tunnel station drilling phase considering one (1) unit of tunnel boring machine (TMB) has arrived at Tanjung Priok port station.
“TMB has arrived at Tanjung Priok and we are assemble it now. Following the plan, drilling phase will be started at August 2015 and will be done at underground tunnel station Bundaran Senayan, Jakarta Selatan” he said, Thursday (4/6).
At first, MRT Jakarta was planned to drill underground tunnel station to be done by the end of 2015, he said. After one (1) unit of TMB has arrived at Jakarta, the company starts to assemble dan set the schedule for underground tunnel station drilling.
According to him, all underground station point at the time are ready to be drilled. This happend due to MRT Jakarta has prepare major scale construction to build wall strenghtening[HR2] and station box. Those station box will be the entrance for tunnel drill machine.
Before the drilling machine arrived, Dono said, MRT has to complete a few phisical works such as, soil pond construction and west side station guide wall so the ground will not collapse on drilling phase.
“We also implement underground station construction along Sudirman-Thamrin corridors. Furthermore, work area on west side will return to the center of MH Thamrin road to continue road decking construction and Bundaran HI station main structure construction”, he said.
OBSTACLE
Although the construction are continuing, Dono did not dismiss there are some obstacle faced by MRT Jakarta. The main factor that hamper the capital city MRT construction implementation is the land acquisition.
MRT Jakarta Director of Construction, Muhammas Nasir explained that they can not optimize the project execution due to few of land has not been released by DKI Jakarta Government.
“At this time, we are working at the land that has clear status. We are not sure when it will be done. We have fully delegate the land acquisition issue to the DKI Jakarta government”, he said.
Dono added, that this underground station drilling are quite challenging. The reason is because this is the prime construction held in Indonesia. Therefore, the contractor who have assigned the construction need to perform soil status investigation before ordering TBM machine.
Besides the phisical obstacle, Natsir reveal there are more obstacle on financial sector. The construction budget itself are allegedly increased to RP1,38 Billion following the uncomplete of land acquisition on several spot, steel utilization standard changes and design changes.
Those numbers are obtained by Japanese calculation consultant who are assigned the MRT phase one (1) construction. MRT construction phase one budget will be disbursed in two phase by Japanese government.
“The excess budget issue are still discussed by PT MRT Jakarta, Central government and DKI Jakarta government”.
Previously, Indonesian National Police has granted land for 1,2 hectare located at Sout Jakarta dan South Tangerang borderline to DKI Jakarta government. (Feni Freycinetia-Bisnis Indonesia)
