(WIKA) together with four other SOEs, namely PT PP (Persero) Tbk., PT Jamkrindo, PT Indra Karya (Persero) and PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) collaborated in the program to provide clean water facilities and infrastructure Smart Water System for 15,464 people for 6,500 Heads of families in five hamlets in Cidadap Village, Simpenan District, Sukabumi, West Java.
The Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) which was launched in order to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) category 6 (clean water and proper sanitation) as a solution to fulfill the basic needs of water for the community, was handed over directly by the Assistant Deputy of TJSL of the Ministry of SOEs, Agus Suharyono to the Head of Cidadap Village, Deden Anta Nurman and the District Head of Simpenan, Dadang Ramdani at the inauguration and launch of the Smart Water System program on Saturday, (28/8).
The Smart Water System program, a technology created by SOEs worth Rp1.45 billion, which is integrated with a Smart Card as a tap card, will provide clean water to the community with a quota given per person of 60-80 liters/day to help people get clean water in a fair and equitable manner. equally.
Smart Water System clean water that utilizes Cimandiri river water sources was launched to meet the increasing demand for clean water as a result of the implementation of the Covid-19 protocol. This program is also carried out as a solution to overcome water drought that often occurs in the dry season, far from access to clean water sources, as well as encouraging the improvement of clean living behavior that can improve the quality of life of the people of Cidadap Village.
On the same day, WIKA also handed over 400 food packages to Cidadap Village residents in need, where previously 250 food packages had been handed over. This form of concern is expected to ease the burden on the community regarding the fulfillment of basic needs during the pandemic.
