Clarin Bridge, Bohol as WIKA's project portfolio in the Philippines officially operates after holding an opening ceremony held by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) as the owner on Tuesday (21/6). The opening was carried out by UPMO’s Under Secretary Emil K. Sadain who represented Secretary Roger Mercado and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who was unable to attend, and was witnessed by the Governor of Bohol Art Yap and local officials also attended by the Head of Overseas Division of WIKA Mr. Roem Olifwan.
In collaboration with a local Phillipines construction company, Vicente T. Lao Construction, WIKA is trusted to reconstruct the Clarin Bridge worth Rp. 138 billion to replace the previous bridge which was heavily damaged by the 7.2 BC earthquake on October 2013 and has become the new icon of Bohol City.
