Apri Artoto was born in Palembang on April 25, 1969. He holds a Bachelor’s/Diploma IV degree in Civil Engineering from Universitas Trisakti and earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Southern California.

Apri Artoto has extensive experience in the public works and infrastructure sectors, particularly in roads and bridges. Throughout his career, he has held several strategic positions within the Ministry of Public Works, including Head of the National Road Implementation Center for East Java–Bali, Secretary of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency, Head of the Human Resources Development Agency, and Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works.

With this strong track record, Apri Artoto was later entrusted to serve as President Commissioner of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. His experience in policy formulation, infrastructure management, and strategic coordination in the public works sector serves as an important foundation in strengthening the Company’s supervisory function, corporate governance, and strategic direction.
