Prof. Ir. Suryo Hapsoro Tri Utomo, Ph.D was born on Yogyakarta September 1st, 1956 in Yogyakarta. He is now an active lecturer in Engineering Faculty for Master Degree and Magister in University of Gadjah Mada since 1996. He holds bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Gadjah Mada and Ph.D from University of Newcastle, UK.

Previously, he served as Director of Research and Community Service, Ministry of National Education and Country Representative of Indonesia, SEAMEO SEARCA (2009-2012) He appointed as Independent Commissioner of PT WIJAYA KARYA (PErsero) Tbk. since April 24,2018.
