Indonesian citizen Suwarta was born in Sukoharjo on December 28, 1971. He completed his Diploma III education at the State College of Accountancy under the Ministry of Finance in 1994. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universitas Satya Negara in 1997, a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universitas Indonesia in 2009, a Master’s degree in Business Law from Universitas Indonesia in 2007, and a Doctoral degree in Business Management from Universitas Brawijaya in 2021.

Suwarta has extensive experience in corporate governance, finance, and business law. He previously served as Independent Commissioner of Bank BJB from 2016 to 2019 and Independent Commissioner of Bank Muamalat from 2022 to 2023. He currently serves as Special Staff to the Minister for Civil Affairs, State Administrative Affairs, and State-Owned Asset Management at the Ministry of Public Works.

With his experience and expertise in corporate governance, finance, and business law, Suwarta was subsequently entrusted to serve as Commissioner of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.
