The Red and White Cabinet under the leadership of Prabowo - Gibran continues to encourage the realization of the Asta Cita to achieve a Golden Indonesia 2045. One of the driving forces to realize this mission is through PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA). As Indonesia's agent of development, WIKA is moving quickly to build various strategic infrastructures in Indonesia.
In accordance with the Company's main advantage in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC), WIKA focuses on realizing Asta Cita through four main missions, namely increasing the added value of domestic products through industrialization and downstreaming, food self-sufficiency, providing employment through infrastructure development and regional development.
During the 100 days of work of the Red and White Cabinet, WIKA successfully completed and operated the Jatiluhur 1 Regional Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM). This strategic project aims to meet the needs of clean water in the Jabodetabek and West Java regions. With a clean water supply capacity of 4,750 liters per second, this SPAM is able to provide clean water according to the standards of the Ministry of Health for 320,000 house connections and improve the quality of life of 1.9 million citizens in the region. In addition, Jatiluhur 1 Regional SPAM also contributes to preventing land subsidence in DKI Jakarta.
In the downstream and industrialization sector, WIKA is also trusted to work on the EPC Coal Handling TLS 6 & TLS 7 South Sumatra project. This project aims to increase coal handling capacity to support national energy security.
In addition, in supporting economic improvement and national independence, the Tiga Dihaji Dam project in South Sumatra and the Jragung Dam in Central Java continue to be accelerated to manage water resources and become a source of irrigation in supporting food security, as well as providing electrical energy for the surrounding community.
WIKA also successfully completed the Madukoro Flyover project in Central Java, which plays an important role in supporting the economic self-sufficiency of the community. This project not only reduces vehicle operating costs by 61.7%, but is also able to alleviate congestion on the vital Pantura route, including access to Achmad Yani Airport and Tanjung Mas Port.
With a length of 221 meters, this flyover improves mobility and economic growth, and supports the development of the Borobudur - Yogyakarta - Prambanan National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN). The development also prioritizes local cultural aspects, featuring ornaments that reflect the wisdom of the Semarang community, thus providing aesthetic value as well as deep social meaning for the area.
“Since the construction of the Madukoro Flyover, I as a local resident feel very helped, previously during the rainy season it often flooded, with this flyover, I am not flooded anymore and it is smoother to pass traffic,” said Atmoko, a local resident.
WIKA President Director, Agung Budi Waskito stated “As the Government's Agent of Development, WIKA will continue to support the Asta Cita through the development of national strategic projects aimed at achieving economic, food and energy self-sufficiency. We also continue to build projects that will increase added value for domestic products through downstreaming and industrialization so as to provide maximum benefits for the community and the country.”
