PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) won the Gold Rank at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) 2024 event organized by the National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR) in collaboration with the Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioner (ICSP). This award was received directly by WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya at Raffles Hotel Jakarta on Thursday (21/11).
ASRRAT is a prestigious event in awarding companies that are highly committed to sustainability reporting to the public. ASRRAT itself assesses various companies based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and Financial Services Authority Regulations (POJK). With the theme “Enhanced Transparency and Accountability for Sustainable Business”, this year's ASRRAT theme aims to encourage the importance of increased transparency and accountability in supporting sustainability.
“The trend of sustainability reporting is getting stronger. KPMG data shows that 75% of the world's major companies have done so. In Indonesia, sustainability reporting obligations increasingly encourage companies to be more transparent and accountable for social and environmental impacts,” said Dr. Ali Darwin, Chairman of NCCR.
WIKA's sustainability reporting has successfully achieved the Gold Rank achievement thanks to the fulfillment of the GRI 4.0 Standard, compliance with POJK 51/2017, and disclosure of additional GRI sectors in the Sustainability Report. This assessment is carried out by a team of assessors who are lecturers from various universities in Indonesia who have CSRS certification from NCCR.
WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya said that this award is proof that WIKA is running sustainable business processes in an accountable and transparent manner in accordance with ESG principles.
“In running the business, the Company also strives to prioritize ESG principles that are conveyed to the public through accountable and transparent sustainability reports to maintain the trust of all stakeholders and gain support in the development of the company,” concluded Mahendra.
