WIKA Builds Tiga Dihaji Dam Construction Project Package VI
The Tiga Dihaji Dam Construction Project Package VI is an integral part of a large project to manage water resources, reduce flood risk, and support raw water supply and irrigation of South OKU Regency. The dam is designed to control flooding in the Selabung and Komering watersheds, provide raw water for 13 sub-districts, and regulate the discharge of the Komering River for agricultural irrigation.
In addition, this dam is also equipped with a Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) which produces 2x20 MW to meet local electricity needs, and reduce dependence on electricity sources from outside the region. WIKA is committed to applying ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) principles in every stage of this project.
Environmentally friendly steps taken include the use of electric motors, solar cell lighting, reforestation of affected areas, and waste management by involving various elements of society. Through this effort, WIKA supports sustainable development through green infrastructure.
WIKA's President Director, Agung Budi Waskito, added, “We believe that the Tiga Dihaji Dam project will not only provide long-term benefits for the community, but also become a real example of implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly technology-based infrastructure solutions. This is in line with WIKA's efforts in supporting sustainable national development.”
