WIKA's scope of work in the project includes improving channel function so that water can flow to the end of the secondary channel, as well as managing excess water to ensure the irrigation system functions optimally. The project is designed to be completed on time to support the success of the next planting period.
WIKA President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW), said that this project is a form of trust in WIKA's capacity in handling infrastructure work in the agricultural sector that supports national food security. "As a development partner, we are committed to carrying out this project optimally by upholding quality and timeliness so that the results can be directly felt by the community, especially farmers. In addition, this project is also a form of WIKA's participation in supporting national food security through quality infrastructure development," said Agung BW.
Through this project, WIKA not only expands its contribution in the agricultural infrastructure sector, but also provides tangible benefits in the form of increasing agricultural productivity, optimizing the use of irrigation water, and reducing the risk of crop failure due to waterlogging or drought. The presence of better irrigation infrastructure is expected to improve food security in Central Kalimantan and surrounding areas.
