In line with the strategy of strengthening the Company's governance which is included in the 8 Stream Method of restructuring, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) introduces the WIKA Integrated Smart E-Procurement (WISE) platform as a new breakthrough in the increasingly transparent Supply Chain Management (SCM) procurement function. The web-based platform was launched on Tuesday (7/5) and can be accessed by the public.
Through the platform, the tender process can be carried out transparently. Where vendors can monitor the status of the bidding process directly, so that it will minimize the potential for KKN. On the other hand, the Company will also benefit from the application of the platform, where the Company will get a more competitive price with a predetermined quality that is expected to generate efficiency for the Company.
“This shows the Company's commitment to continue to prioritize digital transformation in its various business activities to create effectiveness, efficiency and the implementation of stronger governance in line with WIKA's sustainability strategy,” said Agung Budi Waskito, President Director of WIKA.
WIKA Again Gets Better Risk Rating from Sustainalytics
In line with efforts to strengthen governance and digitize the Company through the launch of the WISE platform, WIKA has again achieved an improved risk rating from the international Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating agency, Sustainalytics with a score of 28.2 (Medium Risk), better than the previous score of 29.8 (Medium Risk). This latest rating assessment further strengthens the Company's position as a Construction Company with the best ESG rating in Indonesia and in line with global construction companies such as Vinci Construction.
The assessment is based on the implementation of good governance from the Company as evidenced by the existence of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) policy and has a good Whistleblowing System and has been integrated with the KPK Institution. In addition, the Company is also considered to have a high concern for the carbon impact generated from the construction process which is shown by the existence of a carbon footprint reduction plan in all of the Company's operating areas.
