PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has once again demonstrated its excellence in project execution by completing several ongoing projects, including the construction package for the New Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (UNJANI) in Cimahi City, West Java.
The package includes the Auditorium Building, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Dentistry, which were inaugurated by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KASAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak on Monday (15/7).
“UNJANI will soon be equipped with various faculty buildings featuring excellent facilities to enhance the learning environment for students, enabling UNJANI to compete with top universities in Indonesia and globally,” Maruli said in his speech.
In this development, WIKA was entrusted by the Kartika Eka Paksi Foundation as the implementing contractor for all work in phases 2A and 2B, which include the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Substations 2 and 5, Phase 2A Infrastructure, and the Auditorium Building in phase 2B.
These two phases are a continuation of phase 1, which WIKA completed in 2023, including the Rectorate Building, Multipurpose Building, Pump Room, Co-working Space, and more.
Throughout these phases, WIKA was entrusted by the Kartika Eka Paksi Foundation as the main contractor for the design and build project for the new face of UNJANI, with a total contract value of Rp1.04 trillion.
WIKA’s President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW), stated that the development of UNJANI is evidence of WIKA’s contribution to supporting education in Indonesia, one of which is by building quality infrastructure to support teaching and learning activities.
"We are proud to be entrusted with contributing to the development of UNJANI. With the completion of this construction, we hope the facilities can be utilized optimally by students and the entire academic community to produce outstanding and highly competitive young generations,” concluded Agung BW.
