PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) shows its commitment in providing reliable and sustainable maritime logistics infrastructure through the construction of Patimban Port Package 6 in Subang Regency, West Java. This project is part of the National Strategic Project (PSN) designed to support the sea transportation system and improve the efficiency of national and international trade.
As of early July 2025, construction progress has reached 64.72%, with the focus of work on the construction of the berth area and sand filling reclamation process. One of the main innovations in this project is the use of silt curtain frames in dredging work. This technology is applied to minimize environmental impacts while increasing work efficiency in terms of time and cost. This innovation is WIKA's strategic step in maintaining a balance between project performance and preserving the aquatic ecosystem around the work site.
More than just physical development, this project also provides tangible benefits to the surrounding community. Patimban Port Package 6 opens up new economic opportunities through the provision of local employment, where around 200 local workers have been actively involved in project implementation. In the future, the port is expected to facilitate export-import flows, strengthen inter-regional connectivity, and become a lever for economic growth in Subang and surrounding areas.
WIKA President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW), said that the Patimban Port project is a form of WIKA's real contribution in supporting national connectivity.
"Patimban Port is an important node in the national logistics chain. Through the accelerated development of Package 6, WIKA is committed to presenting a modern port that is efficient and provides added value to the Indonesian economy," said Agung BW.
Through this project, WIKA reaffirms its role as an adaptive, innovative and sustainable national development partner in responding to the nation's strategic needs.
