Jakarta - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has successfully demonstrated its commitment to enhancing corporate governance practices, as evidenced by its Level 4 rating in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard 2023 evaluation conducted by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) on Friday, (3/11).
Based on the assessment by assessors and reviewers, referencing the Company's 2022 annual report and 2023 public information, WIKA achieved a score of 94.02 at Level 4, a significant improvement compared to 2022's score of 86.69 at Level 3.
The ASEAN CG Scorecard initiative, launched in 2011, aims to elevate the standards and practices of corporate governance in ASEAN-listed companies, positioning ASEAN companies as attractive investment assets on the global stage.
WIKA's Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya, emphasized that this achievement reflects the Company's unwavering commitment to strengthening corporate governance standards and practices.
"This recognition underscores our dedication to enhancing corporate governance, a key pillar among the eight recovery streams in our restructuring strategy. We are confident that our consistent efforts to elevate governance practices will enable WIKA to maintain stakeholder trust and secure their continued support," stated Mahendra.
Previously, ACGS acknowledged WIKA's governance advancements by presenting the Company with the "Best Non Financial Sector" award in the category of corporate governance implementation for Middle Capitalization Public Listed Companies at the 14th IICD Corporate Governance Conference and Award.
In addition to the ACGS evaluation, the Company's governance practices have been verified by various independent assessment bodies. These include BPKP DKI Jakarta Representative Office, which assessed WIKA's 2022 GCG implementation and awarded a score of 95.116 (Excellent), Risk Maturity Level with a score of 4 (Managed), ICORPAX assessment with a score of 82.19 (Excellent), and ESG factor implementation assessment with a score of 74.57 (Good).
