PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), through the PP–WIKA Consortium (KSO), has reached a key milestone in the construction of the Harapan Kita Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital (RSJPD) – Tokushukai Building by completing the topping-off ceremony, marking the completion of the main structural works. The event was attended by Indonesia’s Minister of Health and the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia, reflecting strong bilateral synergy in developing globally standardized healthcare services.
The new RSJPD Harapan Kita – Tokushukai Building is a collaboration between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and Tokushukai Medical Corporation. It is projected to become the largest cardiovascular service center in Southeast Asia. The 20-story project is targeted for completion by the end of 2026. This facility will significantly enhance RSJPD’s overall service capacity, supported by advanced medical technology to deliver one of the largest cardiac surgery capacities in the ASEAN region.
President Director of WIKA, Agung Budi Waskito, stated, “This topping-off milestone reflects WIKA’s commitment to supporting the development of modern, internationally standardized healthcare infrastructure. We are optimistic the project will be completed on time and soon deliver maximum benefits to the public.”
The presence of the RSJPD Harapan Kita – Tokushukai Building is expected to increase the capacity for treating cardiovascular diseases and expand public access to high-quality healthcare services without the need to seek treatment abroad. This project also aligns with the Government’s Asta Cita agenda, particularly in improving human capital through strengthened, equitable, and globally standardized healthcare services. Through this project, WIKA continues to support the development of national healthcare infrastructure with direct impact on society.
