PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), through the PP-WIKA consortium (WIKA KSO), has been appointed by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) to construct the Gedung Harapan Kita - Tokushukai Hospital with a contract value of IDR 863 billion. The project was marked by the signing of a contract with Kemenkes.
The scope of work for WIKA KSO on this project includes the preparation of the main structure, the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, as well as architectural, MEP & ICT, infrastructure, and landscaping work.
With the concept of a smart hospital, the building, which will consist of 20 floors and 3 basements, is set to become an integrated health service center. This concept will connect Kemenkes's systems with local health offices, BPJS Kesehatan, and other agencies to provide more efficient and effective healthcare services.
"Given WIKA's track record in constructing various hospitals previously, I am optimistic that the Gedung Harapan Kita - Tokushukai Hospital project will be realized with high quality," stated Agung Budi Waskito, the President Director of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.
Enhance Tourism at Sukamahi Dam, WIKA Undertakes Glass Bridge Project
In addition to the hospital project, WIKA has also signed a contract for the construction and supervision of the Glass Bridge at Sukamahi Dam, valued at IDR 185 billion, with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
Building on the Sukamahi Dam, which the company has previously constructed, WIKA is confident in its deep understanding of the geographical and technical conditions at the project site. This knowledge gives WIKA an advantage in designing and constructing a glass bridge that is integrated with the surrounding environment.
The glass bridge will span 275 meters and is expected to be a unique attraction for tourists visiting the Sukamahi Dam area. To ensure the feasibility of the glass used in the bridge, functionality tests, evaluation of building standards, and technical standard operating procedures will be conducted.
Targeted for completion by December 2025, this project is anticipated to increase tourist visits, create new job opportunities, and promote economic growth in the surrounding community.
"By constructing this glass bridge, WIKA not only enhances the aesthetic value of the project but also contributes to the provision of facilities that can add value to the tourism sector in Indonesia, particularly in West Java," remarked Agung BW.
