T Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) is carrying out the construction of the Zone 1 and Zone 3 Wastewater Pipeline Network for the State Capital Government Centre Core Area (KIPP IKN), precisely in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province.
This project is one of the National Strategic Projects of the Ministry of PUPR, which aims to support the development of basic infrastructure in the new capital city, especially in terms of environmentally friendly wastewater management.
IPAL 1 and 3 KIPP IKN are carried out with a consortium scheme by WIKA - HK KSO, where WIKA's portion is 55% with a total contract value of IDR 435.49 billion. The scope of work of this project includes the installation of pipes in Zone 1 along 14,016 metres and in Zone 3 along 4,901 metres. Other work details include the installation of manholes, open trench, trenchless, HDPE, pump stations, and inspection roads with the challenge of clashing with other packages that require acceleration.
WIKA's President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW), emphasises that quality of work and timeliness are key factors in the success of this project. "We are determined to complete all Projects on schedule and with the best quality, including this wastewater piping network project. It is hoped that this project can improve the sanitation system and environmental health in the capital city of the archipelago," he said.
Through this project, WIKA also shows its commitment in supporting the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly infrastructure in Indonesia.
