PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has secured new contracts worth Rp19.98 Trillion as of August 2023, growing by 10.7% (YoY) compared to the same period last year of Rp18.04 Trillion.
The largest contribution to the new contract acquisition came from the infrastructure and building segment at 47.3%, followed by the industrial, EPCC, property and investment segments.
On the client side, most of the projects won by WIKA came from SOEs and the Government, with a monthly progress payment scheme.
WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya, said that the increase in new contracts indicates that the Company's transformation steps are starting to yield results and increasing the trust of clients with increasingly excellent performance.
WIKA Ready to Build Cijurey Dam
One of the latest projects obtained by the Company in August 2023 is the Cijurey Dam Package 3 project, Bogor, West Java, which has been entrusted by the Ministry of PUPR to WIKA - Jaya Konstruksi KSO.
With a 70% portion of the KSO with a WIKA contract value of Rp724.75 Billion, WIKA is trusted to work on the scope of access roads, construction of spillway and intake structures, hydro-mechanical and electrical, and work on the inundation area with a target completion date in 2028.
The Cijurey Dam project was built to answer the needs of the people to the Bogor Regency government for irrigation, by helping the waters of dry rice fields during the dry season in East Bogor.
WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya, said that the achievement of the Cijurey Dam project is a reflection of the Government's trust through the Ministry of PUPR towards WIKA after successfully completing National Strategic Projects (PSN) in the water resources sector including dams.
"WIKA's involvement in the construction of the Cijurey Dam shows WIKA's commitment to being present in the implementation of infrastructure development in the country, prioritizing the greatest possible benefit to the community. This mandate will be answered by carrying out the project well in accordance with the quality and time targets set by the project owner," said Mahendra Vijaya.
