PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) distributed assistance to the Remaja Masa Depan (YRMD) Foundation Orphanage in Tebet, Jakarta, on Friday (18/8). The assistance consisted of various educational support equipment, educational fees, food, and other living needs.
The assistance was directly distributed by WIKA's Director of Finance and Risk Management Adityo Kusumo and Corporate Secretary Mahendra Vijaya and received by Mrs. Maryamah as the YMRD administrator who was present with 50 children from the Remaja Masa Depan Orphanage.
Adityo Kusumo said that this assistance is a form of WIKA's concern as a state-owned enterprise to be present among orphanage children in the spirit of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. Our presence here is also expected to motivate children to seriously study for a better future.
The YRMD Orphanage was founded with the aim of empowering the lives of orphaned, street, child laborers, dropouts and neglected children. YRMD has successfully sent a number of its foster children to study in higher education, some of whom have also been involved in the football school which was also formed by YRMD.
