PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) continues to strive to realize the construction of the National Strategic Project (PSN) Patimban Access Toll Package 4 in Subang, West Java. This infrastructure will be an important node in the connectivity chain between industrial estates in West Java and Patimban Port, facilitate logistics flow, and support the development of the Subang Regency and surrounding areas.
As of January 2025, the work progress of this project has reached 38% with a number of work scopes that have been realized including earthworks, installation of PCU Girder for Interchange 02 and 03, Concrete Spun Pile piling of Cipunagara River Bridge, Pile Head work and Slab casting on Pile Slab 18 to 21, and paving on Patimban Port Access Road Relocation.
As part of the effort to realize lean construction and sustainability, WIKA uses the innovative Hydraulic Static Pile Driver (HSPD) work method, where piles are pressed into the ground using hydraulic pressure without causing vibration. The use of HSPD has several advantages, such as faster and more efficient installation, increased precision, and minimized risk of rework. In addition, this technology is more environmentally friendly as it reduces noise, smoke pollution, and potential impacts on nearby buildings.
In addition to its environmentally friendly development process, the Patimban Access Toll Road Development also produces a high multiplier effect, including job creation through local community empowerment, where this project has absorbed 102 local workers. In addition, this project also provides great social benefits for the surrounding community, such as empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) around the project environment, to the implementation of assistance programs aimed at encouraging environmental sustainability and improving social welfare such as tree planting, blood donors and providing orphan assistance.
“The construction of the Patimban Access Toll Road is a real solution to improve connectivity while encouraging economic growth in the Subang and surrounding areas. We are committed to completing this project with the best quality standards so that the benefits can be immediately felt by the community,” said Agung Budi Waskito (BW), President Director of WIKA.
WIKA is optimistic that the construction of the Patimban Access Toll Road will be an important pillar to strengthen national infrastructure. In addition, it is hoped that this project will also contribute to realizing the national economic growth target.
