PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) conveyed its digital transformation strategy in the Business Insight forum: The Intelligent Enterprise - Driving Growth and Efficiency with Data-Powered AI organized by Google Cloud and Telkomsigma at JW Marriott Hotel, Jakarta (26/06).
In the panel discussion session, Riha Rizanah as Senior Manager of IT Division WIKA explained how the Company utilizes Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support SAP implementation since 2022. This initiative begins with SAP implementation at the parent company and is gradually extended to subsidiaries and Joint Operation (KSO) projects.
“With the support of GCP which provides 99.5% SLA, WIKA is able to integrate data from various lines of business into one storage center through a data warehouse, which is then connected to WIKA's Digital Control Tower (W-Dashboard),” said Riha.
The digital transformation carried out by WIKA is not just a technology initiative, but also part of the implementation of the eight streams of the Company's restructuring, especially strengthening governance and digitizing business processes. Through the digitization of integrated business processes, WIKA encourages increased efficiency, accelerated data-based decision making and transparency.
Currently, WIKA is entering the phase of developing big data architecture to support the use of AI and machine learning in the future. One of the leading initiatives being carried out is “RoSI” (Robot Information System), an artificial intelligence system designed to accelerate the learning process and management of the company's internal knowledge management.
In addition to technological aspects, WIKA also places digital transformation as part of changes in organizational culture. "In digital transformation, strengthening human resources and the company's digitalization culture are priorities in order to properly utilize digital technology. Therefore, change management is a key element in this process," added Riha.
Through the synergy of innovation, technology, and strengthening human resources, WIKA continues to step up as a construction company that not only builds physical infrastructure, but also digital foundations for a sustainable future.
