PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has secured new contracts worth IDR 11.59 trillion as of July 2024. The largest contribution to these new contracts came from the Industrial segment, followed by Infrastructure & Building, Property, and EPCC segments.
Several key projects included in the new contracts in July are the construction of the New Jetty 1 at the Integrated Terminal Manggis in Bali, the BMKG InaTEWS (Indonesia Tsunami Early Warning System) Buildings in Jakarta & Bali, among other contracts secured by both the parent company and its subsidiaries.
WIKA’s President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW), stated that this achievement reflects the company’s excellent performance in its core businesses, particularly in Infrastructure and EPCC.
"In line with the company’s strategy to enhance the excellence of project execution and effective operational cost control, the company has demonstrated on-track progress in these transformation efforts, thus maintaining its competitiveness and stakeholders' trust," said Agung BW.
Enhancing Water Resource Management in Gowa, WIKA Undertakes Jenelata Dam Project
The company’s superior project execution strategy is being applied in the construction of the Jenelata Dam project in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, entrusted by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR).
With a contract value of IDR 726 billion, WIKA, as part of the CAMCE - ADHI - WIKA joint operation (JO), has been entrusted with the construction of the dam’s main structure on the left abutment and access roads.
The Jenelata Dam project is currently in its initial phase, which includes preparatory work, main dam construction, and compliance with the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK).
The construction of the Jenelata Dam aims to enhance community welfare by providing clean water, electricity, and supporting the agricultural, tourism, and local economy sectors around Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi.
In executing the dam’s construction, WIKA is committed to preserving the surrounding habitat by minimizing tree felling in the construction area. Additionally, WIKA is carrying out water and soil conservation efforts to ensure environmental sustainability.
