PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) is trusted to carry out the construction of the East Side of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan Phase II which is located in Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan. This project will be worked on in a consortium scheme by WIKA - BIT KSO, with WIKA's portion of 70% with a contract value of Rp 586.20 Billion.
WIKA is trusted to continue the East Side of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan Phase 2 project to carry out finishing work which includes asphalt paving work on the roads, as well as landscaping equipped with special areas for pedestrians and cyclists.
"This shows the Ministry of PUPR's trust in WIKA's ability to consistently deliver projects in accordance with the quality standards that have been set for the development of IKN infrastructure," said President Director of WIKA Agung Budi Waskito (BW).
The East Side of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan Phase 2 project itself is a continuation package from Phase 1 which was also worked on by WIKA with the scope of road and bridge structure construction, as well as the Multi-Utility Tunnel (MUT), which is a tunnel that will accommodate all water pipe networks to fiber optics and electricity cables in IKN.
Agung BW said that in accordance with the green city concept, the East Side of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan Phase 2 project will also carry out greening, including plant maintenance. Water runoff will be filtered first by the box control and flowed through the MUT to the ground water tank so that the water that has been cleaned of sediment can be used for watering plants.
The construction of this project is also supported by Building Information Modeling (BIM) Level 5D digital technology which will facilitate project implementation and avoid the potential for rework, through better visualization.
The East Side of Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan is one of the main accesses built to support the connectivity of the State Capital. Stretching for 3.27 km, the East Axis will be a connecting access to the Core Central Government Area (KIPP) of the Nusantara Capital City.
