To commemorate its 66th anniversary, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) is holding a series of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs focusing on environmental, social, and community empowerment aspects. These activities include the development of WIKA Agrivillage, a sustainable agro-education-based program, the planting of 6,600 trees in various areas, and a community service program for cleft lip surgery for 66 children from underprivileged families.
WIKA Agrivillage Development Supports Government Goals
WIKA continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainable development through the development of WIKA Agrivillage, an integrated agro-educational area located in Situ Jejed, Kembang Kuning Village, Klapanunggal District, Bogor Regency. This area is designed as a nature-based public space that integrates education, family recreation, environmental conservation, and community empowerment.
Embedding the Agro-Edu-Recreation Sphere concept, WIKA Agrivillage was developed with an environmentally friendly approach that minimizes concrete use and optimizes vegetation and local potential. This program aligns with the implementation of TJSL (Tree-based Social and Environmental Governance) and the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and supports the Government's vision of developing superior human resources, strengthening the people's economy, and preserving the environment.
"We designed WIKA Agrivillage as an open learning space that provides tangible benefits to the community and the environment. This initiative aligns with the Government's vision of developing superior and competitive Indonesians while also caring for environmental sustainability," said Agung BW.
Planting 6,600 Trees as a Long-Term Environmental Investment
As part of WIKA's 66th Anniversary celebrations, the Company also held a "Tree Planting Ceremony" on Thursday, January 12, 2026, at the IKN 3B Toll Road Project, Section 2, in East Kalimantan. This activity involved various stakeholders, including the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN), the East Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA), the East Kalimantan Provincial Forestry Service, the Balikpapan City Environmental Service, and the IKN project management team.
A total of 6,600 trees were planted: 4,000 in Kalimantan, 2,000 in the Mount Halimun National Park area, and 600 in the WIKA-managed Agrivillage area. Most of the planted trees were productive and carbon-absorbing, contributing to emission reduction and restoration of the land's ecological function.
This activity is an implementation of the Community and Environmental Management (TJSL) program, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically points 13 (Addressing Climate Change), 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and 15 (Terrestrial Ecosystems). Furthermore, this action symbolizes WIKA's commitment to supporting the development of the Indonesian Capital City, which aligns infrastructure connectivity and environmental sustainability.
Cleft Lip Surgery for 66 Children
Under the social and humanitarian pillar, WIKA held a cleft lip surgery for 66 children from underprivileged families, in collaboration with various partners, including Dr. S. Hardjolukito Air Force Hospital and the Yogyakarta Special Region Government. This activity also coincided with WIKA's 66th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), demonstrating cross-sector synergy.
This program is not simply a medical procedure, but an investment in the future of Indonesian children. Through new smiles and growing hope, WIKA strives to open wider opportunities for them to develop and achieve a better future.
This activity aligns with SDG 3 (Healthy and Prosperous Lives), SDG 1 (No Poverty), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), while also emphasizing the Company's commitment to creating shared value through an integrated ESG approach.
The series of CSR activities for WIKA's 66th anniversary demonstrates that WIKA not only builds infrastructure but also fosters hope, sustainability, and added value for the community. Through multi-stakeholder collaboration and measurable programs, WIKA continues to strengthen its role as a development partner contributing to a green, inclusive, and sustainable Indonesia.
