Director General of Water Resources (SDA) Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Hari Suprayogi inaugurated the Sei Gong Dam, on Friday (7/19), located in Sijangtung Village, Galang District, Batam City, Riau Islands Province. During the inauguration, Suprayogi was accompanied by Riau Islands Governor PLT Isdianto, Head of Sumatra IV River Region, Ismail Widadi, Official of PUPR Ministry, Operational Director I PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) Agung Budi Waskito and General Manager (GM) of the General Civil Department 2 Achmad Fauzi.
The inauguration which was marked by pressing the siren button also made the dam a type of landfill with a total reservoir capacity of ± 11.80 million m3 as the only dam in Batam with the potential for raw water supply of ± 400 liters / second for the needs of the local community.
