Vice president Jusuf Kalla Visit to WIKA’s Energy Conversion Factory
On Monday, August 12, 2007, Vice President Jusuf Kalla together with his functionals visited to the energy conversion factory of PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA) in WIKA industrial estate, Cileungsi Bogor. Kalla was accompanied by Minister of Industry Fahmi Idris, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Cooperative and Small Enterpreneur Suryadharma Ali and also Minister of Strengthening Women’s Status Mutia Farida Hatta.
The visit was related with socialization of energy conversion program to provide LPG stove as alternative energy from kerosene to gas. The socialization of LPG Stove usage always will be held, even though it cost to Rp 15 trillion. WIKA intrade-WIKA’s subsidiaries, get order amount for 400.000 stoves and 700.000 LPG
During his visit, Jusuf explained that the government will socialize continuously about the using of LPG stove until 2011, because it reduce the operational cost and also faster and cleaner than kerosene
Jusuf said to Pertamina that gas supply have to be on time. Several banks had agreed to invest on that business.
According to Yoyon, President Director of WIKA Intrade (WIKA’s Subsidiaries), the company support this government’s program. As the winner of bidding, WIKA was acknowledged having excellence performance. In other hand. For WIKA intrade, it can be the opportunity to carry out social responsibility program to produce non commercial products. Yoyon hoped, for the next time, WIKA intrade’s factory can produce stoves for commercial need.
