PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. (WIKA) had signed Project Contract of New Airport Development in the Ministry of Public Works of the Democratic Republic of East Timor, Dili, on Tuesday (3/3). The project with a total contract value of US $ 92 million was signed by the Director of Operations III Destiawan Soewardjono and witnessed by WIKA President Director, Bintang Perbowo and representatives of Ministry of Public Works of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

The plan, the project will be done for 690 calendar days of work with scope of work includes the rehabilitation of existing airport, the extension of the runway from 1.5 km to 2.5 km, widening and expansion of the airport area to be used as a commercial airport, upgrading radar and navigation system and airport safety standards.
