PT WIJAYA KARYA ( Persero ) Tbk. ( WIKA ) won the award as the winner (1st) for infrastructure category in Sustainability Reporting Award ( SRA ). This event was held by National Center for Sustainability Reporting ( NCSR ). The award was given directly by Head of SRA 2015’s Jury Team, Sarwono Kusumaatmadja to Corporate Secretary, Suradi Wongso in the event night which was held in Hotel Mulia, Jakarta on Tuesday ( 15 / 12 ).
According to Sarwono who is a former Minister of Environtment, it is only a matter of time, sooner or later the development of sustainibility report will be required by regulator in indonesia, same as in some other countries which already been required. He expressed appreciation to all participants on this competition those who are called the pioneer in the practice of sustainability report.
This year, sustainability report competition participated by 37 company, including 4 companies of foreign affairs and one NGO from Papua. Besides for infrastructure category, there are six other categories in SRA this year such as mining metal and minerals; energy, gas and petroleum; manufacture; financial services; overseas; and first time report.
