PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the development of modern public transportation through the construction of the MRT Bundaran HI Station Extended Concourse Project.
This project is part of efforts to increase service capacity and strengthen public transport integration in the heart of Jakarta, in line with the development of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2 network. The project, owned by PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta, commenced on February 23, 2026, and is targeted for completion on June 18, 2027, with a contract value of Rp148.2 billion.
As of the end of April 2026, the project’s progress had reached 4.06% of the total work. Currently, project implementation is focused on bore pile works in the Muara 1 area on the Grand Hyatt and Plaza Indonesia side, with 11 points completed out of a total target of 29 points.
In addition to bore pile works, several other main works are also underway, including the concourse slab structure and lift ramp works as part of access development and the improvement of station service areas.
Corporate Secretary of WIKA, Ngatemin, stated that this project reflects WIKA’s support for strengthening an integrated, comfortable, and sustainable public transportation system in Jakarta.
“WIKA is committed to continuously supporting the development of public transportation infrastructure that provides direct benefits to people’s mobility. Through the MRT Bundaran HI Station Extended Concourse Project, WIKA hopes to contribute to increasing station service capacity while providing more comfortable access for MRT Jakarta users,” said Ngatemin.
The extended concourse is expected to increase the capacity of MRT Bundaran HI Station, particularly in anticipation of the potential increase in passengers following the development of MRT Jakarta Phase 2. This development will also provide a new entrance to the station, as well as additional tenant space to support the comfort and experience of MRT Jakarta users.
Through this project, WIKA hopes to help encourage greater public interest in using public transportation, while strengthening the connectivity of the Bundaran HI area as one of Jakarta’s key transportation hubs.
