PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk obtained a new contract of IDR 8.86 trillion until May 2024. The largest contribution to the new contract came from the industrial segment, followed by the infrastructure and building segment, followed by the property segment, and EPCC.
In terms of ownership, most of the projects won by WIKA come from the Government and BUMN, with a monthly progress payment scheme.
The acquisition of the new contract also makes the current contract position in the hands of WIKA increase to Rp52.31 trillion where 97% of it has a monthly term payment pattern, which is in accordance with the stream of restructuring carried out by the Company. This implementation has resulted in the receipt of cash inflows from operating activities of Rp7.66 trillion until May 2024.
WIKA President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW) revealed that the acquisition of this new contract includes the Muara Wahau Road Diversion project, Water Treatment Plant Batam, and a number of other new contracts from both the parent and subsidiary companies.
WIKA Re-Appointed to Work on Muara Wahau Road Diversion Rediversion
After success in the construction and maintenance of the Muara Wahau Road Diversion (MWRD) project in 2023, WIKA was again appointed by PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) to work on the 18.9 km MWRD Rediversion.
"This is a continued synergy between KPC and WIKA. This shows that KPC as the project owner still believes in the quality of work and project delivery of WIKA," said Agung BW.
The MWRD Rediversion work by KPC is intended to move the MWRD line, which was originally built as an alternative national road in East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan, to expand KPC's operating area.
With a contract value received by the company worth IDR 550 billion, WIKA is trusted to work on earthworks which include road body preparation, paving, handling existing soil, and steel construction, with a target completion in December 2025.
